Hello! It looks like you’ve landed on the highlyirritable blog somehow or other, and there’s no use crying about it now. What’s done is done, and since you’re here now anyway you might as well hang out for a bit. Quite possibly you were directed here searching “how to chastise a man with cable ties” and are embarrassed to go back to Google lest the homepage mock you. It’s okay; this is a judgement free zone.
(It’s totally not, but don’t tell the new guy, okay?)
Let’s try this again, shall we?
Hello! I am Jeni, a freelance writer in Canada living with my two children and the shame of a questionable home-haircut. I usually write for money in magazines, but sometimes I write about parenting, being separated and divorced after 40, or other assorted irritations just for myself, and those leftovers end up here on my blog. You like leftovers, don’t you?
Well, pull up a chair then!
My professional writing portfolio includes articles for both print and web-based publications, including Canadian Family , Today’s Parent, Atlanta Parent , MamaPop.com, BlissfullyDomestic.com, The Huffington Post, The Toronto Star, Parents Canada and iVillage.ca
In 2012 I graduated with an Honours B.A. in English Literature from the University of Guelph with a focus on creative writing, so right now I am probably in a grocery store parking lot, wearing an orange day-glo vest, unsnarling shopping carts, or in a restaurant with a red pen, editing the appetizer menu.
If you have any advice for me on how to keep a hamster alive, or questions about how I can write/edit for you, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
